During this four day workshop there will be a commitment to creating and developing a portfolio of original artwork which will help define your creative skills, ability and interests. The portfolio will propel you towards a career within the visual arts and provide the core of your application to art school. Together we will explore and experiment with a range of traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing 2D + 3D, painting, collage and mono-printing. You will identify your personal interests in relation to subject, process, and materials, and acquire the skills to mount a visually vibrant and relevant professional portfolio. Together we will unleash your creative potential.
You will learn the practical skills required to create a striking portfolio which presents your creative interests in terms of skill, competence, and innovation.
You will gain a critical understanding of your work and develop the knowledge and ability to identify your strengths and establish ways to advance and develop your ideas. This will be within the context of contemporary art and understanding your relationship to the art world today.
Understand the importance of professional presentation and construct a portfolio which presents a clear vision of your capacity to produce visually important work.
