Join artist Greer Pester as we explore edible art materials to create ephemeral sculptures and masterpieces, exploring the origins and symbolism behind the food we eat and experimenting with new creative ways of playing with our food.
You will make Veggie Beasts, try your hand at cochineal tortilla wrap painting, create edible delights with faces and maybe even experiment in the Jelly Lab.
Greer Pester (b. 1988) is an artist working between Scotland and Mexico. She graduated from the Painting and Sculpture department at Edinburgh College of Art and has been since facilitating creative workshops for various community groups of all ages and ethnicities, including Integration Networks, The Hidden Gardens and Tramway in Glasgow, University of Reading, Women’s Aid and Taigh Chaersabhagh Museum and Arts Centre – North Uist.
Please note, in order to ensure the safety of our workshop facilitators and participants, all classes will be run in accordance with our Covid-19 guidelines, including implementing lower participant numbers, testing and other safety measures. These guidelines are subject to change and we will be monitoring government guidance on public events and updating our policy as necessary.
