This 4-session course is an introduction to observational drawing and painting, covering line and tone, composition, scale and colour-mixing. Each class starts with step by step demonstrations and exercises that are then put into practice for a longer period of drawing and painting. With structured content in an informal and friendly setting, this course offers guidance and suggestions to exploration and experimentation of the subject matter and materials.

By the end of the course, the participants should feel much more confident in their drawing and painting abilities, hopefully starting a life-long habit with hours of enjoyment from this contemplative pastime.

This course is aimed at beginners, but would also be suitable for those with some previous experience.
