We offer learning visits to nurseries, schools, universities and educational groups during term-time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from February to November each year. Visits can include a guided tour of House for an Art Lover, the Studio Pavilion gallery and the garden surrounds as well as include a practical hands-on learning workshop delivered in our art studios.
Our hands on activities explore the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret McDonald looking at their inspiration, their artistic techniques and practices, and or focus on the artist and project presented within the Studio Pavilion gallery. All sessions are linked to the curriculum and are relevant to all stages of the school and university syllabus.
Studio Pavilion at House for an Art Lover welcomes further and higher education institutions into the House and Studio Pavilion gallery. We can provide tailored tours and creative practical workshops dependent on the area and level of study.
Studio Pavilion at House for an Art Lover also offers residency opportunities to groups of students throughout the winter months November – February (subject to availability).
