Schools

We offer learning visits to nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and educational groups during term-time throughout the year. Visits can include a guided tour of House for an Art Lover, the Studio Pavilion gallery and the garden surrounds as well as include a practical hands-on learning workshop delivered in our art studios.  We can tailor content and duration to suit groups needs and interests.  We work with freelance artists and tour guides to deliver fun and thought-provoking tours.

Visits for primary and secondary schools usually run 10am – 12pm, Wed – Fri and cost £45+VAT for groups of up to 25.

Our hands-on activities explore the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret McDonald looking at their inspiration, their artistic techniques and practices, and or focus on the artist and project presented within the Studio Pavilion gallery. All sessions are linked to the curriculum and are relevant to all stages of the school and university syllabus.
