Esther Donaldson

27 November 2019 – 04 February 2020

Esther Donaldson will present an exhibition of new work in the Art Lovers Café this Winter. Donaldson was awarded the exhibition on the strength of her work presented in the 2018 RSW 137th Open Annual Winter Exhibition.

Esther’s work is based on gardens, a colourful cultivation of rich and sometimes exotic plant patterns. She aims to reflect the brevity of life, beauty, toil, energy, death and rebirth that is observed in the cycle of life within the garden.

Esther exhibits and sells work regularly in galleries across Britain, including the RSA, SSA and the RSW and most recently the Royal Society of British Artists, Mall Galleries, London. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1993 with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting and a Master’s in Design from Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee in 1997.

Esther lives and works in Port Seton, Edinburgh.
